Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $25.06 - $32.58 / hour
SummaryEnergy Technician specializes in programming BAS databases and sequences of operation to provide the highest level of efficiency. This includes monitoring, troubleshooting, and refining of existing installations via Continuous Commissioning and modifying programming and graphics, as necessary. Trains and assists Plant Operations Technicians in troubleshooting vital comfort, energy, indoor air quality, safety and scheduling concerns related to HVAC system and Control.
Is included on the Team that operates the central energy saving computer systems to monitor facilities for correct electrical performance, analyzes malfunctions and takes appropriate action. Assists in the implementation of energy conservation of HVAC, temperature, and lighting components and systems, in a safe and cost-effective manner that support the goals of Lee Health.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years training and experience in heating, ventilation and air conditioning, energy savings methods/systems and computer operation. Thorough knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing skills. Knowledge of building, fire, and life safety codes.
Certification: Type I, Type II and Type III CRF (Certified Refrigerant Handler) certification.
License: Florida Driver's License.
Other: Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC control systems malfunctions, requiring extensive knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems and ability to test and write modification in multiple languages of system software. Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
