Sr Estimating Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate and manage midsize project quotes with speed and precision, aligning bids with current market conditions.
• Serve as a liaison between customers, manufacturers, and sales teams to ensure seamless communication and accurate pricing.
• Prepare and submit detailed breakdowns of quotations and cost estimates ahead of bid deadlines.
• Participate in project buy‑outs by negotiating favorable pricing with vendors and manufacturers.
• Support site visits when necessary to better understand project scopes and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate bid records, reporting daily on all active quote requests.
• Attend product training sessions to remain current on the latest lighting technologies and offerings.
• Apply independent judgment and creativity when building competitive proposals.
• Contribute to overall sales support by handling ad‑hoc pricing requests and coordinating closely with internal teams.

What You Bring:

• A background of 2–4 years in the lighting or electrical distribution industry, emphasizing the preparation and management of project‑based estimates.
• Strong knowledge of lighting products and associated project components.
• Experience with submittal creation and review processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet‑based research.
• Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple bids simultaneously in a deadline‑driven environment.
• A proactive attitude with strong organizational and communication skills.
