Overview
General Hotels Corporation has an immediate opening for a Breakfast Attendant to join our hotel team. The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for preparing and serving a fresh and inviting presentation of the daily complimentary breakfast, giving a friendly greeting to each guest at breakfast and providing superior service to all guests. This position is an early morning role and requires weekend and holiday work.
Responsibilities- Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet in an attractive, abundant, organized, clean, and standardized presentation per brand and company standards.
- Prepare foods such as cut fruit, coffee and juices.
- Stock coffee, juice and milk.
- Set out cold foods for self-service, such as sweet rolls, muffins and cereal.
- Warm and set out hot foods such as hash browns and French toast.
- Set up serving dishes, utensils, cups, and other paper/china products.
- Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area and kitchen during and after breakfast hours.
- Take inventory of food, beverages and other supplies; order or purchase supplies as needed; organize and put away food orders.
- Customer Service – Respond promptly to guest needs and requests for service; accommodate special requests.
- Teamwork – Treat people with respect; uphold organizational values; maintain a friendly, service-oriented manner with guests and employees.
- Quality – Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; monitor own work to ensure quality; restock self-service items as needed; wash china, flatware, and serving equipment and return to storage.
- Quantity – Meet productivity standards and complete work in a timely manner.
- Safety and Security – Follow safety procedures; report unsafe conditions; use chemicals and equipment properly; manage keys and key control policies.
- Dependability – Be consistently at work as scheduled and on time; able to work holidays and weekends.
- Initiative – Offer help when needed; clear and clean tables as they are vacated; wipe spills; sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining areas; remove trash.

High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Should have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation.
