Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with pediatric OR experience and BLS certification for a night shift contract position.

• Work in the hospital Operating Room serving both adult and pediatric patients
• Specialties include ENT, General, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Ortho, Spine, and Neurosurgery cases
• 12-hour night shifts Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Floating required, with travelers first to float and potential to float to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes distance
• On-call required, averaging about 4 calls per month with a variety of call types
• Uses Epic EMR;
  Epic experience preferred
• Travelers are expected to function as core staff
• Orientation starts on a Friday with remote components and onsite badge pick-up
• Flexible and team-oriented candidates preferred
• No block scheduling or post-offer scheduling changes allowed
• Holiday and weekend coverage as scheduled
• Professional scrubs required
• All required testing and vaccinations, including COVID and flu, must be up to date
• First time travelers are welcome to apply

• Active FL or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Pediatric OR experience required
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Nursing degree from an accredited program or 5 years of experience if degree not accredited
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Must reside outside a strict 50-mile radius from the facility
