About the RoleThe Operating Room Registered Nurse will support a high‑acuity surgical environment serving both adult and pediatric populations. This role requires strong clinical expertise, adaptability, and the ability to function as a fully integrated member of the surgical team. Travelers are expected to uphold the same standards of performance, professionalism, and collaboration as core staff.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver safe, evidence‑based perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties.
- Support surgical services including ENT, General Surgery, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Orthopedics, Spine, and Neurosurgery.
- Participate in required call coverage, averaging four call shifts per month, including EOS (7 PM–11 PM), overnight (7 PM–7 AM), and Backup Call (3 PM–7 AM).
- Document assessments, interventions, and care plans using Epic EMR.
- Float as needed to support staffing across the facility and sister campuses.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient case flow.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience.
- Pediatric OR experience required.
- Active BLS certification; CNOR preferred.
- Accredited nursing degree on profile or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Prior travel experience highly preferred.
- Ability to meet call requirements and work assigned shift schedule.
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (radius rule).
- All RTO and schedule requests must be submitted at the time of application.
- Complete demographic information is required for profile submission, including address, email, full DOB, full SSN, and RN license number.
- Hard documentation deadline is the Monday prior to the start date.
- Culture fit is essential; travelers are welcomed into the unit and expected to function at the level of core staff.
