Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least two years of OR and pediatric experience for a night shift role; FL or compact state RN license required.

Job Details

• Position is in a hospital operating room serving both adult and pediatric patient populations,

• Unit performs a range of surgical cases including ENT, General, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Ortho, Spine, and Neurosurgery,

• Uses Epic for electronic medical records,

• Night shifts are 12 hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday,

• On-call responsibilities are required, typically averaging 4 calls per month with varying call times,

• Floating may occur and travelers are the first to float, potentially to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes,

• Strict 50-mile radius rule applies for eligibility,

Job Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license in hand,

• Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience,

• Pediatric operating room experience required,

• Current BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred,

• Degree from an accredited nursing program required or a minimum of 5 years of RN experience,

• Prior travel experience highly preferred,

• Experience with Epic EMR preferred,

• Must provide documented proof of COVID and Flu vaccination,

• References required, with at least one from the past year,

• Will provide perioperative care across a broad range of surgical specialties for both adults and children,

• Orientation begins on a Friday with a remote session followed by onsite badge/-up,

• Dress code requires appropriate hospital scrubs,
