This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

10-hour day shift, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with call obligations

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to pediatric and adult patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role requires proficiency in a variety of surgical services including ENT, General Surgery, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Orthopedics, Spine, and Neurosurgery.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop effective nursing care plans.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment.
• Monitor patient vitals and provide immediate care during surgical procedures.
• Participate in post-operative care for patients recovering from surgery.
• Manage call responsibilities as required, with an average of four calls per month.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience required.
• Pediatric experience is mandatory.
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred.
• Experience with Epic EMR is a plus.
• A degree in nursing must be accredited or at least 5 years of relevant experience is essential.
