Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$42.09 - $56.83 / hour
OverviewThe Manager is responsible for a defined area of organized patient care services. The Manager actively participates in organizational leadership functions and collaborates with the entire interdisciplinary team in designing and providing patient care services.
Managers provide input into executive level decisions while keeping staff informed of any changes.
The Manager participates in the Nursing Leadership Council to provide clinical perspectives on current practice issues.
Managers oversee the allocation of available staffing resources and provide direction for patient care staff to promote safe, efficient, effective and compassionate nursing care on a continual basis. The Manager is responsible for ensuring nursing standards are upheld as established by the American Nurses Association in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act. The Manager serves as a staff, patient and family advocate.
Qualifications- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Masters degree in nursing or other healthcare field preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in Nursing Leadership required.
- Certification: American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Certification in Nursing Administration or appropriate specialty preferred.
- License: Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Florida required.
- Other: Knowledge of current theoretical approaches to the delivery of nursing care. Ability to participate in developing and implementing organizational strategies to improve the delivery of care. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates awareness and knowledge of finance to uphold, manage and maintain budgets in defined areas of responsibility. Proficient with current computer software programs and working knowledge of spreadsheets.
