Lead - WetCast

Position Summary

This position provides hands‑on assistance to the supervisor/manager in all aspects of daily production. Must maintain a safe, clean, productive working environment at all times!!!

• Oversee and provide direction in ensuring that all loads are completed properly
• Have basic computer knowledge - ability to print shipping tickets
• Have knowledge of all products (including castings/resale items)
• Assists in all aspects of loading where needed
• Ensure safety of employees and work environment
• Ensure cleanliness of work areas
• At tentativeness- leadman needs to be able to pay attention to all details
• Troubleshoot problems with equipment
• Communicate with production product needed when necessary
• Have knowledge to work in the core shed when necessary
• Flexibility - loads often change and it is the leadman's responsibility to ensure such changes are made

• Leads when required, but able to work with coworkers and supervisors in other departments to achieve goals
• Time management, must understand "urgency" of manufacturing
• Quick thinker / flexible / problem solver

• 1+ year(s) supervisory experience – a plus
• English / Spanish is a plus
• Intermediate mathematic skills

• Exposed to high levels of concrete dust
• Work outdoors but may on occasion work indoors. Temperatures may vary due to weather
• Regularly wear protective attire, such as hard hats and steel‑toe boots
• Exposed to sound and noise levels that are distracting and uncomfortable
• Work in extremely bright or very dim lighting conditions
• Mon – Fri (weekends when needed)
• 50
  -60 hours/week
