IT Support Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team in Fort Myers, Florida. In this Contract to permanent role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems across the organization. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with various teams while providing top-notch technical support and contributing to the overall efficiency of the IT environment.

Responsibilities:

- Deliver prompt and effective technical support to end users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.

- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, including hardware and software.

- Oversee and troubleshoot network infrastructure components, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.

- Execute system updates and upgrades to enhance security and performance.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

- Work closely with the IT Administrator to identify and implement system improvements.

- Provide training to users on IT tools, systems, and best practices.

- Manage service desk tickets effectively, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.

- Perform basic troubleshooting for Microsoft Windows systems and Active Directory environments.

- Support the setup and maintenance of hardware components and peripherals. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support roles, with a focus on troubleshooting and system maintenance.

- Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting, Microsoft Windows 10, and Active Directory.

- Familiarity with network protocols and devices, including routers and switches.

- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities, with a customer-focused mindset.

- Capability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are a plus.
