Overview
Help support a healthier, safer, and more engaged Lee County workforce.
Lee County Human Resources is looking for a motivated and organized Wellness and Organizational Health Coordinator to lead employee wellness, health, and safety programs. In this role, you will help employees make healthier choices, improve well-being at work, and support a positive workplace culture.
You will work closely with employees, County leadership, vendors, and community partners to plan wellness programs, promote participation, track results, and improve services. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys meaningful work, collaboration, and making a positive impact on employee health.
What You’ll Do
- Plan, develop, and manage County-wide wellness and organizational health programs.
- Support programs that encourage healthy lifestyles, reduce health risks, and limit lost work time.
- Promote wellness programs through clear communication, marketing, and outreach.
- Coordinate wellness events, campaigns, and educational activities.
- Manage wellness vendors and service contracts.
- Track and review wellness data such as health screenings, benefits use, EAP usage, and program participation.
- Analyze trends and prepare easy-to-understand reports for HR leadership.
- Use data to recommend improvements and focus resources where they are most needed.
- Research best practices and bring new ideas into County wellness programs.
- Ensure programs follow local, state, and federal laws related to employee health and safety.
- Work with departments across the County to support a culture of wellness.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a closely related field, such as:
- Business Administration
- Public Administration
- Organizational Development
- Healthcare Administration
- Health Science
- Industrial / Organizational Psychology
- Data Analytics or Business Analytics (if focused on HR, workforce, or organizational data)
- One year of experience in Human Resources or a closely related area, such as:
- Employee wellness or health promotion programs
- Benefits or compensation administration
- Employee engagement or organizational development
- Workplace health, safety, or occupational wellness
- HR program coordination or HR analytics
- Workforce data analysis, reporting, or HR metrics tracking
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills for working with employees, leadership, and vendors.
- Comfort using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Health Science, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating wellness programs, events, or employee engagement initiatives.
- Familiarity with HR systems, wellness tracking tools, or incentive programs.
- Knowledge of workplace wellness, health promotion, or employee benefits.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
