Part-Time Sanibel Harbour Princess Yacht Captain
Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa is looking for an experienced Part-Time / Full-Time Captain with a 100-ton vessel license who can operate day-to-day sunset and brunch cruises while maintaining a professional, clean, and well-working yacht environment.
The Captain would be responsible for scheduling the crew, ordering necessary supplies, and serving hot and cold food and beverages according to corporate standards while maximizing guest satisfaction. The Captain would also be responsible for preparing the yacht and ensuring compliance with the Coast Guard, health department, and state requirements.
Our waterfront setting on San Carlos Bay provides a picturesque backdrop for cruises, in the morning or Sanibel Harbour Princess, our 100-foot private yacht, hosts a sumptuous experience while touring nearby waterways.
Responsibilities- Monitors and assists in the preparation of the yacht, vessel traffic, and positioning of vessels.
- Ensures the safe and effective operation of the vessel.
- Assist Master Captain with plans, directs, and monitors the budget and serves as primary contact for the marine operations of the Resort. Assists with budget and P&L of the Princess Yacht.
- Maintains guest contacts to ensure timely communication with guests about reservations, requests, and dietary needs.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and stand and walk for long periods of time.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds.
- Excellent English verbal and good written skills required.
- Second language knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programs.
