OverviewThe Position is responsible for supervision of all business office operations, overseeing maintenance of medical records and ensuring excellent customer service. The Ambulatory Operations Manager can perform the duties of the front office staff and assists with recruitment, development, management and supervision of business office staff. This position ensures the practice / off site location and staff comply with all federal, state and local laws, regulatory agency requirements, LMHS policies and procedures.
It also participates in preparing and/or implementing capital and operational budgets, coordinates efficient billing practices, and develops short and long-term business and clinical strategies. Additional responsibilities include addressing customer service needs and quality of services, overseeing medical records, and ensuring budget compliance. Other duties include human resources activities related to personnel files, privileging and credentialing files. Safety Coordinator responsibilities include developing, coordinating and maintaining the facility’s overall safety, environment of care activities, and ensuring maintenance of equipment and building standards.
The role monitors seven plan areas to ensure regulatory compliance. This position provides indirect patient care for a specific population of patients; age-specific experience or training is not required to service this population.
- Supervise all business office operations and maintain medical records; ensure excellent customer service.
- Perform or cover front office duties as needed; recruit, develop, manage and supervise business office staff.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws, regulatory agency requirements, and LMHS policies and procedures.
- Assist with capital and operational budgets; coordinate budgeting and financial planning.
- Develop short and long-term business and clinical strategies; assist with marketing and revenue enhancement programs.
- Address customer service needs and service quality; monitor and improve service delivery.
- Oversee medical records and ensure budget compliance.
- Human Resources: develop, coordinate and maintain personnel files and credentialing/privileging documentation.
- Safety Coordinator: develop and maintain safety and environment of care activities; ensure maintenance of equipment and facilities per standards.
- Monitor compliance of seven plan areas with regulatory bodies.
- Provide indirect patient care for a specific population as applicable.
- Educational Requirements
- Degree/Diploma Obtained;
Program of Study Required - Preferred:
Associate's in Business Administration or Associate's in Healthcare;
Bachelor’s degree preferred - May substitute degree for ACMPE certification
