Position: CRS Program Director (5689)

LSF is seeking a talented CRS Program Director who wants to make an impact in the lives of others.

Purpose and Impact

The Program Director will provide oversight and coordination of a continuum of care to ensure holistic, culturally competent services for LSF clients. This position acts as a liaison between all relevant stakeholders in the local system of care/service area. This position ensures the effectiveness and quality of services through supportive program management, monitoring, data management, trend analysis and evaluation, training, and technical assistance.

This position involves close collaboration with the Regional Program Director to identify trends, opportunities to enhance program services, training needs and implement recommendations for effective quality service delivery. The Program Director position may be distinguished from other classifications by directing a clinical or 24-hour shelter program and requires appropriate licensure. This is a non-direct care position.

Essential Functions
  • Provide oversight and administration of the assigned program.
  • Plans, directs, and supervises the activities for one or more program(s) and may operate in one or more regions.
  • Responsible for maintaining contracts and contract compliance.
  • Develop, administer, and revise budgets as necessary, and will ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives.
  • Plans and develops methods and procedures for implementing program, manages and directs program activities, and supervises staff.
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training and evaluating staff, reviews program activities and staff to ensure program goals and objectives are being met, modifies or changes methodology as required to redirect activities and attain goals.
  • Lead collaboration efforts with partners engaged in service provision to clients.
  • Responsible for coordination, communication, and peer learning throughout the system of care.
  • Provide support and technical assistance to all regions related to issues of service delivery, documentation, reporting, LSF and funders.
  • Provide ongoing desk and onsite monitoring to assess program functioning and compliance with standards, as well as to identify trends, service gaps, and evaluate service models.
  • Identify training needs and program challenges, for the development of materials, resources, and tools to enhance the delivery of program services in accordance with recognized standards, LSF Best Practices, and LSF Policies and Procedures implementation.
  • Assist with the writing of various governmental reports (quarterly, annual and monitoring visit reports).
  • Represent LSF at assigned external meetings, trainings, or groups.
  • Engagement in agency-wide activities and initiatives including all-staff meetings, working groups or task forces and implementation of strategic initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 15 pounds (e.g., carrying program materials, event supplies).
  • Ability to travel locally or regionally as needed for program oversight, meetings, or events.
  • Must be able to occasionally work extended hours or weekends during peak program periods or events.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services field is required. Master’s degree in social work or an equivalent degree in education, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science degree is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with applicable program related certification(s).
  • If directing a clinical program, requires an appropriate State licensure in a Human Behavioral Science:
    Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMST), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
