We are a dynamic and expanding personal injury medical facility specializing in pain management, physical rehabilitation, and outpatient procedures. Our dedicated multidisciplinary team focuses on delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to patients recovering from accidents and injuries. As we grow, we are looking to add a reliable and skilled Medical Assistant to our team who can also take on key front desk responsibilities to support our clinic's day-to-day operations.
Position OverviewThe Medical Assistant & Administrative Support role is designed for someone with exceptional clinical and administrative skills, and the ability to balance both direct patient care and important office duties. This person will support both clinical and administrative functions, ensuring the clinic runs smoothly, patients receive timely care, and office operations are organized and efficient.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Support- Take vital signs, venipuncture, specimen collection, assist with durable medical equipment (DME) and post-operative wound care.
- Assist physicians during minimally invasive procedures using a C-arm, ensuring proper positioning and support for optimal imaging and procedure execution.
- Ensure procedure rooms and equipment are prepared, clean, and ready for use.
- Monitor and support patients during and after procedures, assisting providers as needed.
- Accurately and promptly document patient information in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Greet patients in a warm, professional manner and assist with check-in/check-out procedures.
- Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and medical procedures efficiently to optimize patient flow.
- Manage patient intake and verify insurance and other relevant information.
- Answer patient phone calls and inquiries, offering clear and empathetic communication.
- Communicate procedure instructions, and appointment reminders.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and organizing patient charts.
- Ensure smooth operations by managing front desk duties, including patient check-in, check-out, and ensuring patient forms are completed.
- Handle various office tasks like maintaining inventory of medical supplies, ensuring the clinic's operational needs are met.
- Float between multiple office locations as needed, providing support wherever the clinic requires it.
- Collaborate effectively with both clinical and administrative teams to provide seamless patient care and optimize clinic workflow.
Traveling Requirements:
- Fort Myers, Port Charolette, Tampa/Lutz
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (preferred but not required).
- Prior experience in medical assisting training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Experience assisting with minimally invasive procedures using a C-arm is a plus but not required (training will be provided).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent multitasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
- Travel Flexibility.
