Tax Partner

This is a rare opportunity to step into a Tax Partner role at a well-established CPA firm in Fort Myers that is deliberately creating space for its next generation of leadership.

The firm is around 25 people, privately held, and has grown steadily by doing things properly rather than loudly. Client relationships are long-standing, staff turnover is low, and leadership decisions are made with the long term in mind.

As part of planned succession, there is a clear pathway to stepping into a ready-made $1M book of business over the next couple of years. This is not a build-from-zero role and not a vague promise tied to future maybes. It is a defined transition.

You will operate at true Partner level. Leading complex tax engagements, reviewing high-level work, mentoring senior staff, and acting as a trusted advisor to business owners who value continuity and judgement. You’ll have autonomy over your clients, your time, and how you operate, without unnecessary internal friction.

Busy season exists, but it is controlled. Typical hours sit around 55 per week from mid-February through March, with the final weeks of April occasionally touching 60. This is a firm that measures Partner contribution in judgement and stewardship, not exhaustion.

The working model is predominantly in-office by design, with flexibility where it makes sense. The belief here is simple: partnership, succession, and leadership work best with real presence and human connection.

This role is suited to an existing Tax Partner, or someone already operating at true Partner level elsewhere, who wants ownership with clarity, balance, and intent in a firm of this size.
