- Oversees all Roadway Department activities
- Main contact between Roadway Dept., clients and subconsultants
- Supervises and directs team leaders, engineers, and technicians
- Estimates Department manpower needs and assigns work to meet project milestone dates.
- Assists in planning and developing engineering projects and the coordination of project concepts
- Helps with coordinating and resolving technical issues which need the clients’ input and decision making
- Oversees the coordination work between various disciplines and subconsultants completing work on the project
- Responsible for all common PM duties – scoping and negotiating fees, scheduling, budget tracking, monitoring QC comments and client review comments
- Assists with marketing efforts - project identification, client visits, proposals, and presentations
- Supervises and responsible for roadway staff, time sheet and related approvals, annual reviews, etc.
- Regulates project budgets and schedules and provides input for contractual requirements and adjustments.
- Accentuates work through professional development. Encourages and is responsible for professional development of office or staff.
- 10+ years of experience
- PE required
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Self-starter in need of minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong foundation in highway design principles and concepts
