Black & Veatch’s Governments & Communities focuses on infrastructure for municipalities and government agencies. Our Industrial Water solutions deliver lifecycle water, wastewater, and stormwater projects for heavy commercial and industrial clients.

• Lead business development: marketing, strategy, prospect identification, proposal development and preparation, client presentations, project budgeting, and contracting.
• Manage client relationships, promote Black & Veatch through client and community activities, and support overall market business planning.
• Oversee engineering managers, develop project performance goals, and lead project performance reviews.
• Administer budgeting, invoicing, payments, and performance management of projects.
• Mentor and coach staff, recommend training and promotion, and develop new talent.

• 20+ years of water/wastewater experience with leadership in the industrial sector.
• Professional Engineering license and Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• Understanding of budgets and financial metrics.
• Contract negotiation skills, including knowledge of terms, risks, pricing, and payment terms.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements.

Typical office and construction environments; exposure to extreme weather, high noise, safety hazards, chemicals, and other conditions. Physical demands include walking, talking, reading, writing, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
