The Project Superintendent will coordinate and manage all on-site activities, working with project teams including Project Managers, Project Engineers, Trade Superintendents, BIM team, Foremen, Field Personnel, and subcontractors. The goal is to deliver successful projects to owners on time, on budget, and with the desired level of quality.
Responsibilities- Ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections occur to support the project schedule.
- Oversee site safety, ensuring the jobsite is safe for workers and visitors and managing compliance with established company safety policies.
- Forecast and manage field personnel, equipment, materials, tools, and other tasks impacting schedule.
- Support preparation of work plans with project teams.
- Review and ensure field execution of contract documents such as contracted scope, plans, specifications, and manufacturer’s data.
- Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.
- Manage the overall project and look-ahead schedules.
- Collaborate with the team to generate RFIs (Requests for Information) to ensure completeness of project documents and clarify discrepancies.
- Review submittals for compliance with project manuals, specifications, plans, manufacturer recommendations, and applicable codes or standards.
- Manage and execute the company’s quality control program.
- Conduct preconstruction planning.
- Conduct on-site project meetings with subcontractors and construction trade lead personnel.
- Manage subcontractors for all work performed on-site.
- Support foremen and ensure they have the resources and information needed to perform tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain relationships with customers, visitors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Manage site work and construction site logistics.
- Provide feedback on processes and procedures in support of continuous improvement.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by the Project Manager.
- Supervise and coordinate HVAC and/or plumbing system installations.
- Ensure effective coordination with general contractors and other subcontractors to avoid conflicts and schedule delays.
- Utilize construction management software (e.g., Procore, Plan Grid, or equivalent) for documentation, field reporting, and communication.
- Assist with and coordinate system startup, commissioning, and turnover activities, ensuring punch-list completion and project closeout.
- Mentor field staff and promote workforce development within the company.
- 5+ years of proven leadership or supervisory experience.
- 10+ years of construction experience.
- Healthcare experience required
- Basic computer skills; experience with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office preferred.
- Current Florida driver’s license or ability to obtain one quickly.
- Insurable driving record

The minimum requirements for the role are specified and are necessary to succeed in the role’s application of tasks. This position requires the ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. The employee must be able to perform tasks involving physical labor, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials, tools, or equipment. Manual material handling must be performed in accordance with OSHA safety standards and company policies to minimize risk of injury.
