Description
Join the award-winning Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau (VCB) team and play a vital role in supporting tourism operations that drive economic impact and showcase the beauty of Southwest Florida. In this role, you’ll provide essential administrative and technical support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, assist with high-profile events, and collaborate with industry partners to promote Lee County as a premier travel destination.

- Administrative & Operational Support
- Research projects and prepare reports for VCB managers.
- Assist with payroll timekeeping in Kronos.
- Manage film permit inquiries and approvals.
- Respond to visitor inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Provide front desk coverage and general office support, including ordering supplies, submitting IT and facilities tickets, and setting up conference rooms.
- Tourist Development Council (TDC) Support
- Prepare and edit reports for monthly TDC meetings.
- Coordinate meeting logistics, including technology setup and conference room preparation.
- Digital Asset & Technology Management
- Provide access to destination photos/videos via Lumen asset management system.
- Assist with branded PowerPoint and Canva presentations for community events and conferences.
- Design email templates consistent with VCB branding.
- Industry Partner Engagement
- Maintain CRM records in Simpleview.
- Support itineraries for familiarization tours (FAMs), site visits, and educational trainings.
- Manage updates on and create SOPs for staff.
- Event Support
- Assist with major VCB events such as Island Hopper Songwriter Fest, Annual Meeting, and E Awards.
- Collaborate on branding, content development, and community engagement initiatives.
- Training & Coaching
- Provide ongoing staff training on County software, Kronos, video conferencing, and best practices.
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s degree or two years of college in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Two years of experience in hospitality, marketing, administration or a similar area.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and CRM systems (Simpleview preferred).
- Experience with payroll systems and meeting technology setup.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. May also include some evenings and weekends as needed.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll help showcase Lee County as a world-class destination. You’ll gain experience in tourism, event planning, and marketing while working with a dynamic team that supports local businesses and visitors.
