Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Fort Myers, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for managing essential accounting tasks, including processing invoices, handling accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate data entry. This position requires proficiency in Quick Books and a strong ability to maintain organized financial records.

Responsibilities:

- Process invoices promptly and accurately to ensure timely payments.

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including reconciliations.

- Utilize Quick Books software to maintain financial records and perform accounting tasks.

- Enter and update financial data with a high level of precision.

- Prepare and review financial documents for accuracy and completeness.

- Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.

- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting files and records.

- Generate reports to assist with financial analysis and decision-making.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

- Assist with other accounting duties as needed to support the team. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.

- Proficiency in using Quick Books for accounting tasks.

- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.

- Ability to process invoices accurately and efficiently.

- Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.

- Familiarity with invoice processing and related procedures.
