Fiber Permitting Coordinator
Viaero Wireless is seeking a Permitting Coordinator to report directly to the Permitting Manager, responsible for tracking permit submissions, processing statuses, and receipt across multiple projects simultaneously. This role is on‑site at the VFN Headquarters in Fort Morgan.
Base pay range$23.00/hr - $25.00/hr
Responsibilities- Research and compile permit documents.
- Review project and survey drawings and work with engineering teams to acquire correct property ownership.
- Digitally review project routes (on‑site), determining required property ownership.
- Determine permit types and municipalities required for each project.
- Submit and track Permit/Agreement of Utility assessment.
- Assist with coordinating with jurisdictions of municipalities, railroads, irrigation companies, and private parties.
- Manage and track all permits throughout all processes.
- Request PO/Check requests to pay fees.
- Forecast permit timelines and impact delays.
- Work with multiple architects, engineers, and customers.
- File correct project drawings and applications to approving permitting entities.
- Work with engineering teams to acquire up‑to‑date designs for permit submission.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and spreadsheets.
- Manage and coordinate routine tracking of the project with external agencies.
- Update network databases daily with documents and statuses.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including spreadsheets.
- Self‑starter with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to conduct technical‑driven research within deadlines.
- Ability to identify problems and recommend resolutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to resolve difficult inquiries or issues related to assigned work by asking questions and consulting the team.
- Ensuring timely processing of applications and deliverables.
- Strong working knowledge of multiple complex projects concurrently.
- Proven decision‑making skills and success in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and/or environments.
- Experience working in a utility/residential/commercial construction permitting role.
- Experience with a database tracking timelines and deliverables.
- Experience working in a construction back‑office environment.
- 1–3 years in a construction permitting role (utility/residential/commercial).
- Microsoft Office proficient (Word and Excel).
- High School Diploma.
