The Clinical Supervisor, in collaboration with the Director, is responsible for the continuous safe operation of the assigned department, including all aspects of patient care, staffing, fiscal responsibility, and achievement of the unit’s strategic goals. The Clinical Supervisor is a designated leader responsible for implementation, supervision, and evaluation of safe patient care while promoting a safe environment for employees, families, and visitors.
The Clinical Supervisor maintains clinical and professional competency appropriate to the ages, developmental stages, and special needs of the population. Service Excellence behavior is promoted at all times.
Required
:
- Education:
Associate degree in Nursing required. - Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:
- A valid Permanent Multi-State RN License from the state of residence is required. If you hold an RN license from another Compact state, you must apply for and obtain a Multi-State RN License from your state of residence within 30 days.
- American Heart Association BLS CPR required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
- CPI certification with orientation period.
- Other certifications required are determined by the specific unit and are required within the orientation period.
Preferred
:
- Experience:
2-3 years of Acute Care or comparable experience with demonstrated leadership ability preferred.
