Position: Maintenance Technician II ($30.50)

Maintenance Technician ($30.50/hr.) Who we are looking for

We are currently searching for a night

Maintenance Technician II to be based out of Fort Mill, SC. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this person's primary focus will be to maintain production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

What you'll do
  • Maintain, repair, improve, and possibly modify and build machines to aid and enhance the process of manufacturing PVC pipe products.
  • Efficiently perform electronic equipment repair and troubleshooting: repair and replace broken or defective parts.
  • Monitor stock levels of maintenance supplies and spare parts. Inform the manager or supply clerk of essential out-of-stock items.
  • Quickly identify the sources of issues by watching mechanical devices in action, listening for any irregularities, and utilizing precise measuring and testing tools.
  • Assist management in the development of new policies and procedures regarding employee safety.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance.
  • Repair electric motors, parts, wiring, and other electrical devices.
  • All other assigned duties.
What you'll bring
  • Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent. Technical skill certification preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • 4 years of experience doing electrical/mechanical maintenance in an industrial/ manufacturing environment.
  • Must have strong Mechanical and Electrical skill sets.
  • Ability to utilize CMMS.
  • Experience with the installation of machinery and equipment, as well as disassembly.
  • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events calmly and logically.
  • Experience and knowledge of Lean Daily Management principles preferred.
  • Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

  • Complete any required training
  • Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
  • Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $30.50/hr placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
