Quality Technician

Insight Global is seeking 2 Quality Technicians (1 day shift and 1 night shift) to support an Energy Company! This opportunity is based out of Fort Mill, SC, and will be on site on a Pitman schedule (a rotating 12-hour shift that runs 6AM-6PM or 6PM-6AM). Additionally, this opportunity offers quick interviews, competitive rates (ranging from $24-28/hr. based off of years of experience + overtime) and there is lots of stability and room for growth, as this is a direct hire opportunity.

• Background in a technical manufacturing environment, in a fast-paced industry
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision yet knows when to ask for help.
• Proven proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office and Excel programs, and statistical software packages.

Job Description:

• The Quality Technician II is responsible for ensuring the overall quality and compliance of products or services. This position requires a high level of expertise and experience in quality control and assurance processes.

Responsibilities:

• Checking that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements
• Reviewing blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods
• Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database
• Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence
• Proposing improvements to the production process
• Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet standards
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and radiographs
• Perform testing at various stages on the manufacturing line
• Collecting and compiling statistical quality data
• Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans
• Determining the root causes of product defects and scrap
• Verifying all equipment is calibrated correctly
• Perform quality controls following the Work Instructions (WI’s) on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products.
• Suggest improvements of the WIs in order to reduce scraps and improve the performance of the finished product.
• Improve the capacity for in-depth analysis and improvement of the process.
• Continually support the Production staff on WI’s, quality and process issues in cooperation with Management.
• Create statistical analysis and reports on the quality of raw materials and finished product as required.
• Utilize and maintain the supplied instruments of measurement according to WI and safety standards.
• Monitor and suggest improvements to Management on the production recipes for the various steps of the process.
• Monitor and audit operations, suggesting improvements to the tools of quality control used in the production line
• Provide hourly reports to management via email
