The Specialist, Experience & Events supports initiatives that ensure the employee experience is thoughtfully designed, effectively executed, and aligned with our company culture and values. This role plays a key part in bringing our purpose, Furnishing Life’s Best Memories, to life through intentional events, programs, and experiences for all employees. This role is also designed to enhance engagement, recognition, and development programs that contribute to Broad River Retail’s culture and retention.
Dayin the Life as this Memory Maker
- Support team initiatives that ensure the employee experience is intentionally designed, professionally executed, and aligned with our company culture.
- Lead company-wide employee recognition, reward, and support programs to foster engagement, motivation, and connection.
- Create connections and build relationships within the people team and with internal stakeholders to deliver meaningful, intentional experiences and events.
- Support the execution of enterprise-wide celebration, engagement, and support programs that contribute to a positive and inclusive environment.
- Contribute to internal communications, assisting with communication timelines and reviewing design and language for clarity, consistency, and alignment with company standards.
- Collaborate with the Experience & Events team to plan, organize, and execute company-wide events that bring our culture and values to life.
- Support Broad River Retail’s employee support programs, including our employee crisis assistance fund and several annual donation collection campaigns.
- Evaluate employee experience programs regularly to ensure they are effective and responsive to evolving employee and business needs.
- 1-2 years of experience in Employee Experience, Employee Engagement, People/Human Capital/Human Resources, or a related field
- Adherence to a hybrid schedule including 3 in office days and 2 remote days per week – possible additional days as required by business need.
- Ability to travel 20% or less to stores as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High degree of professionalism and ability to effectively collaborate
- Self-motivated, ambitious, problem solver, who is flexible and adaptive to change
- Ability to address urgent projects that arise while balancing projects and priorities
- Must be highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of PowerPoint & Excel
- Experience using Canva and/or Beautiful.
AI is preferred - High degree of attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to perform repetitive bending, lifting, and squatting
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
- Able to drive to travel to company locations as necessary
- Be able to routinely lift 15 lbs. alone, or team lift heavier pieces
