Network Engineer - Cisco Focus

Job Type: 6 months Contract to Hire (USC or GC only)

This is an onsite position based in Fort Mill, South Carolina. The contract is for six months with the potential to convert to a full-time role.

Cisco ASA, Firepower, Meraki, next-gen firewalls

Active Cisco certifications including CCNA and CCNP Security

• Design, implement, and manage secure network infrastructure using Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco ASA, Firepower, Meraki, and other Cisco platforms
• Set up and maintain VPNs and remote access solutions
• Monitor and respond to network performance and security incidents
• Use tools like Solar Winds, PRTG, or Cisco Prime Infrastructure for monitoring and troubleshooting
• Work closely with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to follow security best practices
• Follow ITIL-based change management processes

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer
• Strong background in network security, including firewalls and intrusion detection and prevention, implement and manage secure network infrastructure leveraging Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
• Solid understanding of VLANs, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, and other routing protocols
• Experience with Cisco ASA, Firepower, Meraki, and related technologies
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ITIL frameworks
• Configure and maintain Cisco ASA and next-gen firewalls, troubleshoot VPNs and remote connectivity issues.
• Work with the cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to enforce and maintain security best practices
• Active Cisco certifications including CCNA and CCNP Security
