Job Title: Database SME

Location(s): Fort Mill, SC

We are seeking an experienced Database Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong expertise in SQL Server performance tuning, optimization, and database administration. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in high‑performance, application‑driven environments and deep knowledge of SQL Server architecture and troubleshooting.

• T‑SQL query analysis and performance optimization.
• Execution plan analysis and optimization using Query Store.
• Index statistics updates and index rebuild operations.
• Table and index partitioning functions.
• Database blocking analysis and impact assessment.
• Performance tuning of stored procedures and ad‑hoc SQL queries based on execution patterns.
• Experience working in an application development environment.

• Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2017/2019/2022).
• Apply patches, service packs, and cumulative updates (CUs).
• Database and volume space management.
• Monitor and maintain SQL Server performance, availability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot CPU, RAM, disk space, and TempDB performance issues.
• Manage Always On Availability Groups.
• Replication configuration and support.
• SSIS jobs and SQL Agent job administration.
• Manage user roles, permissions, and database security.
