Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Asset Management Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of IT assets, ensuring data quality, and supporting the software and hardware queues. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our asset management system.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate Tasks supporting Software License and allocation requests:
Support user requests for software by monitoring Service Now Software Asset Management Tasks, taking action throughout software and user lifecycle. - Facilitate Receiving and Updating Asset Chain of Custody:
Oversee the process of receiving IT assets, ensuring that all assets are accurately logged and tracked throughout their lifecycle. Update the asset chain of custody records to reflect any changes in ownership or status. - Ensure Data Quality:
Maintain high standards of data quality by regularly auditing and updating asset records. Ensure that all asset information is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. - Support Software/Hardware Queue:
Provide support for the software and hardware queues by managing requests, tracking progress, and ensuring timely resolution. Collaborate with other IT teams to address any issues related to asset management. - Asset Inventory Management:
Conduct regular inventories of IT assets to verify the accuracy of asset records. Reconcile discrepancies and update records as necessary. - Reporting and Documentation:
Generate reports on asset management activities and provide documentation as required. Ensure that all asset management processes are well-documented and adhere to company policies. - Compliance and Security:
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to IT asset management. Implement security measures to protect IT assets from theft, loss, or unauthorized access.

- Strong reading comprehension and ability to digest licensing documentation
- Comfortable asking questions; not shy, but not overly aggressive
- Strong relationship building skills; will work with Vendor operations, Business users, Finance, stakeholders across the entire org
- Able to thrive in a fast paced, shifting priority environment
- Must be willing to say yes to the work needed each day without hesitation or frustration
- Mature enough to work productively from home when applicable

Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of software licensing (This is the #1 requirement‑non negotiable.)
- Experience with Service Now, ideally SAM Pro workspace. SAM Pro is a major differentiator. Service Now experience from development or help desk roles is not relevant
- Ability to:
- Manage end user software requests and tickets
- Provision licenses through licensing portals
- Run reports and license reconciliation
- Suggest incident resolutions
- Maintain documentation and update SOPs
- Hardware asset knowledge is a nice to have (most candidates with software experience will have some hardware familiarity)
- Not suitable for data analysts who lack licensing knowledge
- Accuracy of Asset Records:
Maintain an accuracy rate of 98% or higher in asset records. - Timeliness of Updates:
Ensure that asset chain of custody records are updated within 24 hours of any change. - Data Quality Audits:
Conduct quarterly data quality audits with a target of identifying and correcting 100% of discrepancies. - Queue Resolution Time:
Achieve an average resolution time of 48 hours for software and hardware queue requests. - Inventory Reconciliation:
Complete physical inventory reconciliations with less than 2% discrepancy. - Compliance Rate:
Maintain a compliance rate of 100% with company policies and industry regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT asset management or a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in asset management software and tools.
- Experience with the Service Now Platform, specifically the Hardware and Software Asset Management modules.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in IT asset management.

Job Type & LocationContract position based out of Fort Mill, SC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
