Overview
We are currently recruiting within our Technical Support / Reporting team a Data Specialist. This role is based at our North American headquarters in Fort Mill, South Carolina and is the result of continued success, and sustained growth. The chosen applicant will handle internal and external requests for data analysis within the tools provided by Quantum Informatics as well as other tools.
Responsibilities- Analyze report requests and coordinate with Informatics leads both within sales and development teams.
- Develop clear requirements and test cases for reporting / analysis requests.
- Implement, verify, and validate the data reports.
- Strong SQL Query knowledge
- Experience with calculations such as area under the curve
- Experience report generation & visualization using standard components such as:
- Pie charts
- Line and bar charts
- Data grids / tabular reports
- Spider Charts
- Large Database Experience — Ability to work with large, highly-relational SQL databases with many tables and complex relationships.
- Advanced SQL Skills — Writing and optimizing complex SQL queries (multi-table joins, CTEs). Performing pivoting/unpivoting operations for reporting.
- Performance Optimization — Understanding indexing, query plans, and tuning SQL for large datasets.
- Database Comparison & Reconciliation — Ability to compare databases, identify schema or data differences, and reconcile conflicts across environments.
- Data Aggregation — Experience calculating First, Last, Average, Median, Min, Max and other summary statistics across large datasets.
- Automation of Data Cleanup — Building automated scripts/processes for data cleanup, normalization, validation, and scheduled refreshes.
- Translating Non-Technical Requests — Ability to take informal or non-technical data requests from clinical, commercial, or support teams and translate them into clear, structured, and actionable technical requirements.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience - Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in reporting and data analysis. - Travel:
No travel anticipated for role but as we are an international company, the need for travel could arise. - Other:
Candidates must be eligible to work in the US.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90,000.00 – $95,000.00/yr.
