Job Overview

The Client and Government Reporting team comprises of cost basis and tax reporting functionalities. The tax reporting component ensures that all Internal Revenue Service (IRS) client tax reporting forms are issued and mailed in an accurate and timely manner. The cost basis component is responsible for the receipt, maintenance, and delivery of tax lots used to calculate cost basis.

The primary role consists of supporting an in-bound call center team dedicated to servicing the needs of service team within LPL. You will support internal service teams with cost basis questions and at times, partner with Service Professionals on calls with customers. Answering questions from Service Professionals and Financial Professionals will be a high priority in this role. You are also expected to provide subject matter expertise and be solution orientated.

Responsibilities
  • Answer inbound calls from the Service teams.

  • Research and perform related processing for service requests.

  • Review accounts and perform reconciliation to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies and procedures.

  • Perform daily quality control, manage error rates and perform exception review processing.

  • Effectively communicate with advisors and other operational groups to resolve various account discrepancies.

  • Be proactive and remain cognizant of deadlines and regulatory requirements.

  • Recognize issues, problems, or opportunities and determine whether action is required.

  • Make connections and offers creative recommendations on how to solve business challenges.

  • Assist with projects, UAT Testing and audits.

Requirements
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ years of BETA and Excel
Core Competencies
  • Must be comfortable relaying policy related information consistently in fast paced situations.
  • General computer savviness with the ability to quickly navigate multiple applications.
  • Ability to ask probing questions and actively listen to gain agreement with the caller.
  • Interpersonal skills to establish a welcoming interaction that fosters rapport.
  • Willingness to take ownership to provide accurate resolutions with each interaction.
  • Learning mindset to respond and implement coaching and training.
Preferences
  • Cost Basis experience and/or knowledge
  • Client Works experience would be a plus
  • Experience with CXone (NICE) phone system
  • SIE preferred
Pay Range

$22.84-$38.07/hour

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
