Inside the Role
The Syndication Operations Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting syndicated loan transactions across both Corporate and Dealer portfolios. This position ensures smooth coordination among internal teams, agent banks, borrowers, and participating lenders. You will maintain accurate records, facilitate clear communication, and support timely processing of all deal activities. As a central liaison, you will help strengthen lender relationships, promote transparency, and ensure efficient, compliant syndication operations.

What you Drive at DTFS
- Review potential syndication targets and collaborate with Fleet Credit to assess financial performance and delinquency risk. Partner with Fleet Workout to evaluate payment relief requests and ensure adherence to Master Assignment Agreements and Specification documents.
- Credit Analysis & Risk Evaluation.
- Conduct detailed credit analysis for Corporate and Dealer syndicated transactions, applying strong financial, collateral, and legal documentation expertise.
- Lender & Partner Relationship Management.
- Manage relationships with banks, insurance companies, and lending partners. Ensure timely delivery of syndication requirements, interpret credit agreements, and support long‑term engagement with existing participants while identifying and recruiting new ones.
- Operational Execution & Reporting.
- Maintain accurate reporting and transaction records, including principal and interest activity. Partner with internal DTFS teams and syndicate participants to ensure timely and accurate settlement processes.
- Deal Structuring & Negotiation Support.
- Support negotiation of credit agreements to ensure alignment with participant expectations and legal requirements. Engage lenders on potential portfolio sales, negotiate rates and terms, and discuss financial performance of sold portfolios.
- Portfolio Review & Compliance Alignment.
Knowledge you should bring:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in credit, lending operations, or syndicated finance.
- Strong credit background in both Fleet Credit (corporate) and Dealer Credit (wholesale).
- Ability to interpret and navigate credit agreements, legal documentation, and syndication requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for lender, partner, and internal stakeholder interactions.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence terms, rates, and deal structures.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and record-keeping capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple internal teams and external lending partners.
Exceptional Candidates Might Have:
- Experience working directly with agent banks or within a syndicated lending environment.
- Proven success in building and expanding lender networks or recruiting new syndicate participants.
- Advanced understanding of loan settlement processes, portfolio sales, and secondary market dynamics.
- Strong analytical capability to evaluate financial performance trends and detect early signs of delinquency or agreement violations.
- Ability to influence cross-functional decision-making and drive alignment across legal, credit, and workout teams.
