Position:
Land Development Engineering Lead
Location:Fort Mill, SC

A well-established organization within the infrastructure and utilities space is seeking a Land Development Engineering Lead to support continued growth. This is an immediate, full-time opportunity offering strong compensation, leadership responsibility, and long-term career development within a collaborative engineering environment.
Responsibilities- Lead and contribute to civil site and land development projects from concept through construction for residential, commercial, institutional, and municipal developments.
- Perform design, permitting, and construction-phase support in a team-based setting.
- Develop land development plans using Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations related to stormwater management, drainage systems, erosion and sediment control, sanitary sewer systems, water distribution systems, detention facilities, and pump stations.
- Utilize industry-standard hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software to support design solutions.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
- Coordinate with internal teams, municipalities, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable standards and codes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Technology.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant civil site or land development design experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or ability to obtain licensure within a short timeframe.
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (recent versions preferred).
- Experience with stormwater and utility modeling tools such as Hydraflow, Hydro
CAD, Water
CAD, or similar software. - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative design environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Interest in professional growth and leadership development.
