Preschool Teacher-Part Time

Responsible for providing quality enrichment in early childhood education and care that expands children’s experiences, extends their learning, and provides warm and caring support while achieving the goals and objectives of curriculum.

• Assists Preschool Director with the planning and instruction of daily classroom lessons and activities
• Designs creative lesson plans to compliment program objectives
• Establishes routines and provides positive guidance while building children’s self‑esteem
• Monitors classroom behavior, recognizes children’s needs, and adapts to problems using appropriate behavior management and positive discipline
• Develops and maintains effective communication and positive relationships
• Assists with financial responsibilities (collecting and processing preschool tuition payments, forms, etc.)
• Teaching skills; creativity
• Decision making, problem solving, and time management skills
• Above average interpersonal skills, written/oral communication skills and an ability to work with a wide variety of people and circumstances

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Preferred:
  Degree in Early Childhood Education
• Current certification in CPR
• Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally; may need to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
• Physical demands in excess of sedentary work; must remain on feet for extended periods
