Position Overview

Software Integration Engineer – Level III – work in a PaaS Linux environment supporting an on‑prem cloud offering with open source software using Kubernetes, Docker, Rook and other cutting‑edge technologies. Responsibilities include developing software tools and services in a Dev Ops culture, integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling and supporting Commercial Off‑The‑Shelf (COTS)/Government Off‑The‑Shelf (GOTS) software, and managing software sustainment.

Responsibilities
  • Integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software.
  • Generate documentation for the full software stack.
  • Maintain software for sustainment support.
  • Perform basic Linux system administration and shell scripting.
  • Execute test codes for characterization of software performance.
  • Own HPC tools and related software products.
  • Use CM tools, web documentation, and issue tracking systems.
  • Adapt quickly in a fast‑paced, multi‑paradigm environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.
  • OR five (5) years of full‑time Computer Science directly related work (no degree) AND at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience.
  • OR industry‑recognized professional certification (as defined in the TT0s) may substitute for one (1) year of experience; a Master’s Degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
  • OR Bachelor's Degree AND at least ten (10) years of demonstrable experience with the above tasks.
  • OR five (5) years of full‑time Computer Science directly related work (no degree) AND at least ten (10) years of demonstrable experience.
Required Skills
  • Experience with Linux CLI.
  • Experience writing scripts in Bash/Python.
  • General technical knowledge of compute, network, memory, and storage system components.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools such as Salt Stack, Puppet, and Ansible.
  • In‑depth experience troubleshooting large Linux clusters.
  • Demonstrated experience using system monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Experience administering/monitoring Kubernetes clusters.
  • Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Experience using Git for version control.
Desired Skills
  • Experience using Helm to deploy Kubernetes applications.
  • Experience using Git Lab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and applications.
Clearance Required

TS/SCI with Polygraph.

U.S. Citizenship.

Compensation

Typical salary range starts at $180,000 and stretches up to $250,000. Compensation is committed to rewarding top talent and can exceed the stated range for exceptional candidates.
