Position: Electronics Technician 1 with Security Clearance

We are seeking an Electronics Technician 1 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of the SES Strategic Business Unit, you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities
  • Executes various technical tasks and responsibilities within field operations.
  • Performs on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems.
  • Ensures the functionality and reliability of various technologies.
  • Conducts site surveys, configures hardware and software, tests systems for proper operation, and provides technical support to customers.
  • Collaborates with project teams and communicates effectively with clients and team members.
  • Utilizes and comprehends project Safety plans (JHA, AHA, PFW), enforcing adherence to M.C. Dean handbook and policies.
  • Analyzes and interprets complete M.C. Dean drawing packages to assess constructability, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Tracks and inventories tools, conducts tool inspections, and performs end-of-day tool inventory.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety within scope of work and performs regular tool inspections.
  • Participates in daily ORM (safety) and project meetings to ensure safety compliance.
  • Participates in PITCO plan creation and build out, executing the plan to include testing for quality.
  • Installs system raceway, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, panels, and mounting hardware with proper grounding and NEC adherence.
  • Terminates, tests, and configures electronic devices, network and IT equipment.
  • Racks and stacks head end equipment; terminates cables and applies industry-standard terminations and accessories.
  • Plans and prioritizes tasks in alignment with the M.C. Dean vision, mission, and values.
  • Maintains M.C. Dean quality standards for all installation and testing tasks.
  • Mentors and trains junior team members in installation techniques, codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Documents daily work tasks using Infralink and other tools to track progress on job sites.
  • This is not an all-inclusive list of duties; other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications

Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information. ACTIVE TS/SCI w/ POLY is REQUIRED.

Education: HS diploma or GED. Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) is required.

Required Progressive Experience
  • 2+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, CCTV systems (e.g., Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch, AIphone Intercom, Windows OS certifications).
  • Graduation from Electrical Apprenticeship program and an additional three years of electronics installation/maintenance experience.
  • Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills; demonstrated time management and organization.
