Amentum is seeking a Mid- to Senior-level Scrum Master to join our team of passionate individuals de, MD. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that have a direct impact on the nation’s security and intelligence mission.

In support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), the Intel and Cyber Division is assembling a team to support a program that provides critical IT capabilities to the Department of Defense. We are committed to recruiting and retaining this team beyond prototype development and testing, to provide long‑term integration, deployment, operation and maintenance as needed.

Work

Schedule

8 Hours per day, Monday through Friday

Essential Responsibilities
  • Support a complex hybrid/Agile IT project driven by an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) with logic‑tied IMS milestones and task completion dates
  • Execute disciplined Sprint kickoff/planning meetings while ensuring alignment to contract deliverables and IMS milestones
  • Manage all Sprint performance metrics and reporting, driving consistent 90%+ Sprint‑completion rates through daily planning and coaching of team leads
  • Lead all Agile ceremonies including Sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily scrums
  • Work with project stakeholders to continually refine the backlog and align User Stories to IMS task completion dates and milestone
  • Prevent sprint over commitment by refining team velocities, enforcing realistic planning, and holding teams accountable to agreed‑upon commitments
  • Serve as Jira Governance Lead to:
    • Design, configure, and optimize Jira workflows
    • Build dashboards and automate reporting to provide accurate program metrics
    • Instill workflow compliance and incorporate audit traceability
  • Integrate Sprint planning and execution into IMS reporting by coordinating with Team Leads, Master Scheduler, and project managers
  • Identify and report schedule risks early and assist in identifying remediations
  • Support customer‑facing engagements and provide recurring reports and briefings as required
  • Coach Team Leads in Agile best practices in a hybrid environment, reinforcing accountability, transparency, and delivery discipline
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands
  • Employee will work in a SCIF on a daily basis.
  • Employee may also be required to work in a datacenter environment for specified periods of time.
Minimum Requirements
  • Experience working in a DoD classified environment
  • 5 (five) years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead on government or large‑scale IT programs
  • 8 (eight) years of Agile/Hybrid/Predictive project management experience executing successful outcomes in these environments
  • Experience briefing high‑level project stakeholders on project planning, execution, and progress
  • Advanced hands‑on experience with Atlassian (Jira and Confluence) tools, including Jira workflow configuration, dashboards, automation rules, and Confluence reporting
  • Successful experience improving Sprint performance and eliminating workflow compliance gaps
  • Strong understanding of schedule‑driven delivery models and critical path awareness
  • Exceptional attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong organizational, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
Clearance Required

Must have active Top‑Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree in management or IT related field, or an additional five (5) years of experience managing IT projects
