System Administrator II

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a System Administrator II to join our team! Specifically, we are looking for a System Administrator with experience in Red Hat Linux virtual machines, AWS, IAVA compliance and more.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
• 10 years’ experience as a SA in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
• 5 years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree

• Create and maintain Red Hat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS)
• Evaluate systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches
• Perform command line system administration tasks on virtual machines
• Handle regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality
• Communicate with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support
• Apply patches and upgrades
• Troubleshoot server issues
• Administer customer accounts
• Deploy monitoring tools
• Deploy applications and tools
• Assist with escalated customer tickets
  
  Installation and cabling of equipment

• Linux command line system administration (CentOS, Red Hat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent)
• Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository
• Experience working within a cloud environment a plus (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines)
• Experience or knowledge of Red Seal Network Mapping tool a plus
• Knowledge of software deployed on systems a plus but not required (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, NiFi)

• Syslog/Nx Log
• Nagios or other similar monitoring applications
• Scripting experience (Python/Perl)
