Our Service Now practice has a career opportunity for a Service Now Developer supporting the Global Solutions Management – Operations II (GSM-O II) contract s contract includes the Operations, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN) in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). It also includes support to other key tasks for DISA, including the transformation of DISA’s operational mission through innovation, and support to DISA’s mission partners.

Candidate must be able to be on site at Fort Meade, Scott AFB, or Hill AFB daily. At a minimum, a Secret clearance is required upon the start of employment and within 14 days following the start date the employee must obtain their Security+ certification.

As Service Now Developer you will perform configuration, development, support, and maintenance of the Service Now implementation. Works with external and internal stakeholders to understand, propose, and deliver digital transformation solutions with emphasis on request fulfillment, automated workflows through Service Now Service Catalogs and key ITIL processes like Request, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and other modules.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support the standup, configuration and implementation of Service Now’s ITSM, OMT, TSM, TSOM, and Workforce Management Capability modules.
  • Create and maintain Forms, Reports, Views, Workflows, Groups and Roles
  • Create, maintain and enhance Dashboards and reporting, including scheduled reports
  • Create and configure tool integrations with Service Now (Elastic, Netcool, Kafka, etc)
  • Coordinate and support application and platform upgrades
  • Assist with design, creation and cataloging of business process flows
  • Work with other members of the Service Now development team to propose solutions based on business needs and strategies
  • Perform the necessary tasks to design and configure Service Now functions to meet operational needs
  • Support business process re-engineering activities to move ticketing and order management capabilities into Service Now
  • Identify trends and find patterns in unstructured and semi-structured customer data that can be used to create a more positive customer experience and increase overall network performance
  • Interact with the customer to address Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues or conflicts
  • Developing, configuring, and customizing the Service Now platform to fit business requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Orchestrate and automate tasks.
  • Responsible for the design and build of Service Now Applications and integration to other applications and platforms, including architecture, languages, best practices, and methodologies in an Agile Scrum environment.
  • Provide strong development and project on-track and on-task and collaborate on an ongoing project in both new and enhancements development between engineers, developers, analyst, and other team members.
  • Follow, maintain, and apply documentation best practice policies, procedures, and process throughout Service Now development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to to gather input to support ongoing business needs for Service Now configuration, implementation, and support.
