We are hiring a System Administrator to work in the Ft. Meade, MD vicinity
. Position location is subject to change based on central MD client s needs.

Required: TS/SCI with a Polygraph

• Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and related processes.
• Provides support for day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
• Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution, and communicates status to agency management and internal customers.
• Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and participates in the resolution process.
• Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems; installs/loads operating system software; troubleshoots and maintains integrity; configures network components and implements OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Optimizes system operations and resource utilization; performs system capacity analysis and planning.

• Five (5) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Two (2) years experience installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and using system security tools (container security, virtual machine security, security boundary enforcement), configuration, and reporting tools. Infrastructure.

• Experience with the following tools is strongly preferred: ELK, Tripwire, VMware, Red Hat SELinux security tool suite.
