Enlighten is looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer specializing in AWS. You will design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure cloud infrastructures, collaborating with a high‑performing team of engineers at a classified customer facility.

• Engineer, architect, and deploy cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
• Develop strategic and implementation plans for information systems.
• Create infrastructure-as-code for cloud security and enclaves.
• Operate effectively in high‑pressure, highly flexible environments against short‑ and long‑term requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Current Secret‑level U.S. Government Security Clearance required; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 9+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering (operations, management, design, and development) with a bachelor’s degree in a related field; 7 years with a master’s degree; or 13 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Proficiency in Python and Linux command line.
• Experience automating cloud configuration using Terraform, AWS Config, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Ability to work autonomously and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaboration with platform architects on long‑term architectural changes.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking best practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Hybrid work commitment: average 3‑4 days per week at our Fort Meade, MD customer site or Columbia, MD office.
