SummaryHII's expertise in wireless communication includes 50+ years of performing RF Engineering for DoD, government agencies, and commercially both in the US and overseas, analyzing, and formatting spectrum data, including frequency assignment, spectrum certification, LiDAR, and other geo-referenced data. Our Scientists and Engineers support diverse tasks such as spectrum forensics and deconfliction, testing for coverage amid urban clutter, and antenna site planning.

What you will do- Create and/or review frequency assignment proposals to determine whether these proposals, if approved, would result in technical conflicts with existing frequency assignments.
- Verify technical equipment specifications to ensure the data provided in spectrum applications are correct.
- Create and/or review frequency assignment proposals for compliance with applicable policy, regulations, and procedures, and recommend corrective action when necessary: understand and use the National Table of Frequency Allocations, various assignment plans, restrictions, rules and procedures for authorizing frequency assignments.
- Evaluate and initiates frequency proposals in standard frequency action format in accordance with MCEB PUB 7.
- Perform interference analysis, frequency nomination and processing using Spectrum XXI and the Government Master File (GMF).
- Knowledge of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) Manual of Procedures for Federal Radio Frequency Management is required.
- Provide spectrum management input to customers for obtaining foreign spectrum supportability of the equipment as required by acquisition law through the Host Nation Coordination procedures.
- Analyze the key components of a problem related to the use of complex developmental or advanced systems and determines an approach to resolve the problem.
- Research current and historical written sources in order to apply specific data and/or theory.
- Utilize data resources and automated analysis techniques to resolve problems for which there may be no precedent.
- Develop a resolution for general review and acceptance by requesting parties.
- Actively participate in the training and development of less experienced project staff.
- Provide comprehensive representation and/or technical support at off-site project locations, including the formulation of the client's requirements for analysis and spectrum management.
- Identify opportunities for new program initiatives and follow-on tasking for current projects.
- Perform other technical duties, as required.
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
