Network Engineer

Silver Edge is a premier provider of innovative cyber, software and intelligence solutions addressing everyday challenges to meet mission goals across the DOD and Intel Communities and beyond. We are seeking a candidate to work with our customer to provide Network Engineering support on a cutting edge IT program.

Responsibilities include but are not limited too:

• Configure and optimize network hubs, routers, and switches.
• Develop and implement network backup and recovery procedures.
• Diagnose network connectivity problems.
• Install and maintain network infrastructure device operating system software.
• Install or replace network hubs, routers, and switches.
• Monitor network capacity and performance.
• Patch network vulnerabilities to ensure information is safeguarded against outside parties.
• Test and maintain network infrastructure including software and hardware devices.

• Bachelor’s degree AND 12 years’ experience
• Active DoD IAT Level III certification (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, GCIH, GCED, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA)
• Active Cisco certification
