External Title Linux Systems Administrator, Senior Advisor

Peraton is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. Our dynamic team delivers information security solutions that facilitate secure data flows and the detection/prevention of unauthorized behaviors. Responsibilities include supporting system design, mission architecture, and hardware, as well as analyzing and resolving complex problems related to server hardware, applications, and software integration.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience as a System Administrator on similar scope programs or contracts. An additional 5 years of SA experience may substitute for a BS degree, totaling 20 years.
• Demonstrated experience in Linux environments.
• Knowledge of system administration dependencies within Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Experience with Ubuntu and RHEL

• DOD 8570 compliance with at least IAT Level 2.
• Ability to review mission performance and analyze complex hardware, application, and software issues.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with project teams and partners.
• Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with AWS Cloud Environments.

Salary Range Estimate:

The typical salary range for this position is $146,000 - $234,000, which is part of Peraton's total compensation package including bonuses, incentives, and benefits.
