Cloud Engineer Security Clearance

Position: Cloud Engineer with Security Clearance
Piper Companies is seeking an Azure-focused Cloud Engineer with an Active Secret Clearance to support secure, mission-critical infrastructure for a federal client. This role is hybrid with onsite work required 3 days per week in Ft. Meade, MD . Responsibilities for the Cloud Engineer include:
* Architect, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure solutions in Microsoft Azure/AWS environment.
* Design and maintain Kubernetes clusters for containerized workloads.
* Administer and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
* Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
* Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible.
* Ensure systems meet DoD security and compliance standards.
* Monitor and optimize performance, capacity, uptime, and security across cloud and hybrid environments.
* Support incident, problem, change, and knowledge management processes.
* Collaborate with internal teams and government stakeholders to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
* Participate in on-call rotations and change management duties. Qualifications for the Cloud Engineer include:
* Active DoD Secret Clearance (required).
* Bachelor's degree with 5+ years or Associate's degree with 7+ years in cloud or infrastructure engineering.
* Expert-level experience with Kubernetes (containerization), RHEL, Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible.
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Dev Ops methodologies.
* Familiarity with DoD compliance frameworks (e.g., STIGs, RMF) is preferred.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to work onsite de, MD three days per week. Compensation for the Cloud Engineer includes:
* Salary range: $165,000 - $195,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
