Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer specializing in AWS to design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure cloud infrastructures in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. The role will involve engineering, architecting, and deploying cloud-based applications and infrastructure, and working on a customer facility with a strong engineering team.
EssentialJob Responsibilities
- Engineering, architecting, and deployment of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
- Develop strategic and implementation plans for information systems.
- Develop infrastructure‑as‑code for cloud security infrastructure and security enclaves.
- Work effectively in a high‑pressure, highly flexible environment with both short‑and long‑term priorities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Current Secret level U.S. Government Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
- 9+ years of cloud engineering experience (operations, management, design, development) with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 7+ years with a master’s, or 13+ years with a high school diploma.
- 3+ years experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Experience writing in Python and working on the Linux command line.
- Experience automating cloud configuration using Terraform, AWS Config, Ansible, etc., and a proactive approach to improvement.
- Collaboration with platform architects on long‑term and strategic architectural changes.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking best practices.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 3‑4 days per week at our Fort Meade, MD customer site or Columbia, MD office, with flexibility for schedule changes.
