Duties Help
* As a participant in the Recent Graduates Program, you will receive both formal and on-the-job training to develop the required knowledge and skill to successfully perform the duties of the position.
* Analyzes technical and/or administrative personnel programs which support mission requirements and determines program effectiveness and efficiency.
* Participates in or conducts studies/surveys, analyzing findings and making recommendations which support assigned mission.
* Participates in long-range personnel planning in support of assigned DISA programs (planning includes tracking, consolidating, and coordinating available resources relating to assigned programs).
* Exhibits skill in all phases of document preparation and processing, including use of word processing systems, graphics, electronic mail, and desktop publishing. Requirements Help Conditions of employment
* Must be a U.S. Citizen.
* This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
* Current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, will be placed on an Excepted appointment. Qualifications The recent graduates program targets individuals who have graduated recently from qualifying educational institutions or programs. To be eligible, applicants must apply within 2 years of degree or certificate completion, except for veterans precluded from doing so due to their military service obligations, who will have up to 6 years after degree or certificate completion.
Successful applicants will be placed in a dynamic, career development program. Who May Be Considered:
* Individuals who have obtained a qualifying Associates, Bachelor's, Master's, Professional, Doctorate, Vocational or Technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution, within the previous 2 years. OR
* Individuals who will obtain a qualifying Associates, Bachelor's, Master's, Professional, Doctorate, Vocational or Technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution within 90 days from the date of application. Applicants must provide proof of degree conferral prior to appointment OR
* Veterans (as defined in 5 U.S.C. 2108) who were unable to apply within 2 years of obtaining a qualifying Associates, Bachelor's, Master's, Professional, Doctorate, Vocational or Technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution due to their military service obligation. Veterans have a full 2-year eligibility period to apply upon his/her release or discharge from active duty. The eligibility period for veterans must be within 6 years of degree completion.
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Basic Requirement:
This position has a positive education requirement. Applicants must meet the basic educations requirements in order to be found minimally qualified for the position. GPA Requirement - This position requires a minimum cumulative (GPA) Grade Point Average OF 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Experience:
* For the GG-05 your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience is defined as:
Preparing charts, graphs or other visual aids in support of program effectiveness.
* For the GG-07 your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience is defined as:
Analyzing findings and making recommendations to various levels of management.
* For the GG-09 your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience is defined as:
Planning, tracking and coordinating programs or coordinating resources related to assigned programs. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. STUDENTS MAY APPLY IF THEY ARE WITHIN 90 DAYS OF GRADUATING FROM THE DATE OF APPLICATION. Education Substitution of education for experience at the GG-05 grade level - Four years of education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation, or the equivalent, is a prerequisite may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement.
To be creditable, education must have been obtained from an accredited college or university.
