We are recruiting an experienced Ironworker Foreman to join our team at Kearl Oil Sands, a major oil sands site in Northern Alberta. The position is a 14/14 rotation with camp accommodations, meals, and charter flights from Edmonton and Calgary. The project is 6 months, starting mid‑February.

• OT at 1.5 after 8 hours per day

• Supervise, coordinate, and direct ironworker crews on modular, structural steel, rebar, and miscellaneous metal structures assembly, installation, and connection.
• Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, and ensure productivity targets and schedules are met.
• Read and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and erection plans.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and site‑specific procedures.
• Lead and enforce safety meetings, hazard assessments, and toolbox talks.
• Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of tools, rigging, and lifting equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Journeyperson Ironworker Certification (Red Seal Preferred)
• Minimum 5‑8 years of experience as an ironworker, including supervisory or lead‑hand experience.
• Proven experience supervising crews on industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of applicable safety regulations and industry standards.
• Experience with multi‑plate assembly preferred.
• Effective communication and coordination with crews, supervisors, and other trades.
• Proficient in rigging practices, modular equipment, and critical crane lifting operations.
• Valid safety tickets: OSSA, CSTS‑2020, Fall Protection, WHMIS 2015, Elevated Work Platform (EWP).
• Commitment to safety and team environment.
• Adherence to all company and worksite safety and quality processes and procedures.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Desire to work in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills an asset.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test.
• Completion of a criminal background check.
