About the RoleOur projects are diverse and include geotechnical/civil engineering, QA/QC construction monitoring, drill monitoring, geo-environmental monitoring, site investigations, foundation inspections, and soil and concrete lab testing. We work across various industries, from open-pit mining environments to municipal infrastructure projects.

We anticipate a March or April start date for this role.
- Opportunities are primarily based in Fort McMurray.
- Fieldwork includes 12-hour shifts (day/night) in various project environments.
We are currently hiring individuals to perform Soil and Concrete QA/QC monitoring across mining, heavy civil, and municipal projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Quality Control & Quality Assurance, ensuring all work meets high industry standards.
- Driving in active mining environments and interacting with heavy equipment.
- Communicating effectively via two-way radio systems.
- Conducting field inspections and testing, including soil testing, earthwork, and concrete testing to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
- Monitoring and verifying construction activities meet design specifications.
- Coordinating with project team members, including engineers and site operations, to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Participating in local and remote fieldwork, with shifts of up to 12 hours per day/night.
- Building and maintaining client relationships.
$31.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on experience.
What We Look ForWe are seeking individuals with:
- A degree/diploma in Civil Engineering, Geosciences, or Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and field experience.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract.
- The ability to perform physical fieldwork and pass a fitness-for-work test.
- The capability to work in safety-sensitive environments and meet drug and alcohol testing requirements.
- A commitment to learning, collaboration, and contributing to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
- Candidates with a construction or warehouse background may also be considered.
- Experience in a technical field-based role.
- Proficiency in off-road 4x4 driving and winter conditions.
- Certifications:
BSO/CSO, H2S, CCIL. - Professional Memberships: ASET or APEGA.
