Medication Technician – Bickford Senior Living

Join our dynamic team! As a Medication Technician, you will support resident care within the branch, ensuring that residents’ daily medication needs are met compassionately while maintaining their dignity, allowing them to live their lives to the fullest.

Starting at $18.50 per hour. Daily pay available.

  • Benefits begin the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment.
Responsibilities
  • Accurately follow the resident MAR to ensure medication administration according to physician orders.
  • Understand and follow the six rights of medication administration and Bickford policies and procedures regarding medication management.
  • Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
  • Communicate appropriately with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication administration and care.
  • Provide direct resident care and supervise the resident care work of non‑licensed team members as required.
  • Lead by demonstrating Bickford Mission ‘Whatever it Takes’ to all team members on shift.
Qualifications
  • Active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least one year of experience in the care of seniors.
  • Approved Medication Manager Certificate from the Department of Inspection and Appeals.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Willingness to take additional training or education as required by state.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competent in organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to utilize or learn Bickford’s eMAR system.
